Just prior to 7 am on Thursday, the box alarm was sent for the reported building fire in the West Fairview area of the first due. The box was quickly upgraded due to multiple calls indicating a working fire. Units arrived to find a single family residence with fire and smoke throughout. Units from Northeast, Enola, West Shore, Hampden, Harrisburg, New Cumberland DLA and Marysville worked together extinguishing the fire and performing extensive overhaul. Chief 2 with the command. A big thank you to our mutual aid departments, our fire police and Township Police & EMS for all the assistance. This fire took place along US 11&15 at rush hour which created a major traffic issue in the area. Also a thank you to Paxtonia Fire for providing the coverage while we were committed.
